I’ve been on different social media since 2007 and witnessed the rise and fall of some of them, but it seems that this time is different. People from Twitter migrate to the Berlin based Mastodon and maybe to a possible social media 2.0 world. On the first look, it seems like an archipelago of servers rather than a massive “agora” where your least favorite aunt can haunt your tagged photos.
